Matt Damon Still Interested in Making a Rounders Sequel

Despite a Busy Schedule

Damon shared his hopes for Rounders 2 in an interview on the Rich Eisen Show.

Matt Damon has expressed his interest in making a sequel to the 1998 cult classic Rounders, despite his busy schedule. In an interview on the Rich Eisen Show, Damon admitted that he still has a strong interest in making a second movie in the series, which starred him and Edward Norton as two friends who get involved in the world of high-stakes poker.

"We've been talking about it for years," Damon said. "We've got a great script. We've got a great director. We've just got to find the time to do it."

Rounders was a critical and commercial success when it was released in 1998. The film has since become a cult classic among poker fans and is considered one of the best poker movies ever made.

Damon said that he thinks a sequel to Rounders would be a great way to revisit the characters and the world of high-stakes poker.

"I think it would be a lot of fun to see where these characters are now," Damon said. "I think it would be a great way to catch up with them and see what they're up to."

Damon said that he doesn't know when a Rounders sequel will happen, but he's hopeful that it will eventually come together.

"I'm not sure when it's going to happen," Damon said. "But I'm hoping that we can make it happen sooner rather than later."
